Size It Just Right! Bigger Isn't Always Better! Smaller Isn't Always Smarter!

When it comes to choosing the right locker size to fit your client’s needs, a common assumption is, the more massive the locker, the better the functionality since there is more storage space available. However, choosing the right specification for the job could mean the difference between an uncomfortably-cramped, overly-crowded workspace or tons of wasted, otherwise usable space and an efficient, productive storage environment.

Suppose your client has a large number of intended users for the locker space. One might assume the best size solution would be to order tiny lockers to accommodate all users. Doing so could make them functionally useless, resulting in wasted time, money, and space. Likewise, choosing lockers that are huge and never adequately filled can be more costly and also results in wasted usable space.
The key to choosing the right locker size is to consider the intended function, the allocated space, and budgetary constraints. If linear space is limited, locker depth can be increased to improve functionality and storage capacity. It may be necessary to choose varying widths, depths, and heights for a single installation to achieve maximum efficiency.
