SKIPPACK, PA - Penco Products, along with sister company Schmidt Structural, are in the final stages of installing 15 galleries of 30’ high, 3-level shelving systems to store 2.3 million archival boxes at the National Archives and Record Administration’s new St. Louis facility.
Built on 23.5 acres of land, in a 1.5 rated seismic zone, the St. Louis NARA facility totals 474,690 square feet, with storage space divided up into 15 separate large galleries. Each gallery is completely consumed with 30’ high, 3-level Erectomatic® Heavy-Duty H-Posts supporting 40” x 30” Hi-Performance® shelves. Access to the 3-levels of storage space is made possible by multiple Schmidt stair towers installed within each gallery.
